FORMAT: Group Stages followed by Knockout. Solo. Dream Team.

Tournament Structure

  1. Group Stages: You will be placed in a Group of 4 teams. Each win is 3 pts, a Draw is 1 pt.
  2. You are expected to register with your IN-GAME Name only, a Change of Name equals Disqualification.
  3. The top 2 teams will qualify from each group for the Knockout Stages.
  4. Matches are Played Daily.
  5. The tournament will be organized using WhatsApp group chats. Group links will be sent via SMS to all registered participants to join the community.

Tournament Rules and Regulations:

1. GAME MODE: LEAGUE SYSTEM (Dream Team Solo).

2. Fixtures (Match Arrangement) will be posted on the group, endeavor to always check and know your opponent. You’ll be tagged.

3. Tournament match is One LEG.

4. The time frame for each match day is 8 minutes. Home and away conditions should be EXCELLENT, INJURIES OFF or ON (your choice, however if this isn’t followed and you’re reported, you’ll lose that match)

5. Kick-off time for all matches and deadline time is 8 am - 11 pm (You have 15 hours to figure out when would be convenient for you to play against your opponents) Once the deadline is reached; the next fixtures are posted IMMEDIATELY. The deadline remains at 11 pm.

6. Unavailability of both teams for a match day means zero points. If either opponent is unavailable, the available opponent gets 3 free points and 3 goals advantage. If you quit a match, that’s an extra 3 goals for your opponent.

7. Post a screenshot of your final scoreline after the match and send it to the respective group. Make sure you TAG OFFL.

8. If the network ends the match while still playing, reach out to any of the admins immediately, OR both players can agree on playing the match again with the time they wish to add (This is an option, but it’s advisable to reach out to OFFL) 

NB:  Any fraudulent intentions will mean immediate disqualification and points deduction. (Chief Tournament Officer Decides based on the Investigations)

NB 2: If the network disconnects or the game ends when an opponent has a clear chance to score, it counts as a goal (Make sure you have a screenshot as proof and the decision will be made by the admins, we will determine if it should count as a goal or not)

9. The number of substitutions for this tournament is SIX (6)

10. If the game or network is making your players slow or skip, please end that game, if you continue and your opponent scores, it counts (Screenshot as proof in case there’s a disagreement about a goal being scored) 

NB: Quitting unnecessarily when losing might affect your chances of participating in the next tournament.

11. MTN Engage is an environment where players thrive and respect one another. Therefore, kindly keep your emotions in check. No abusive or foul language will be tolerated. Any form of insult means an immediate 3-point deduction. If you continue, it’ll be doubled. There won't be any warnings.

12. IMPORTANT: Tag your opponent on the group, do not bring excuses from the DM. None of the admins will know you reached out to your opponent privately. You should tag the player in the group. That’s your evidence. If you text them privately, inform OFFL that you did so before the deadline.

13. Download the ‘Easy Tournament’ app, it will be used for scheduling and managing fixtures. A link will be provided to follow the tournament and view all fixtures and table placements when updated. All qualifiers/group matches are single fixtures while knockout matches are home and away.

FINALLY: In cases where the rules do not apply, the Chief Tournament Officer would decide on the situation.

How to Create a Match for Home Team:

  1. Open the eFootball App and click on “MATCH”.
  2. Click on “Friend Match”.
  3. Click “Create 1vs1 Match”.
  4. Set Match Password.
  5. Send the Match ID and Password to your opponent on WhatsApp Group.
  6. Wait for your opponent to join.
  7. Room settings 8 minutes, Excellent condition, 6 subs, and Injuries off.
  8. When an opponent has joined, Click on “Go to Match”.
  9. When the Match is finished, share the screenshot on the Whatsapp Group and tag the Admin.

How to Join a Match as AWAY Team (Match that is already created):

  1. Open the eFootball App.
  2. Click on “MATCH”.
  3. Click on “Friend Match”
  4. Click “Search Match Room”
  5. Enter the Match ID and Password provided by the opponent
  6. You will see your opponent. Click on “Go to Match”.
  7. When the Match is finished, share the screenshot on the Whatsapp Group and tag the Admin.

Tournament Rules

TO ALL PLAYERS JOINING TOURNAMENTS, KINDLY NOTE:

All players must be registered on www.engageplaywin.com and must be Premium Account holders registered on the tournament page.

Players in the match will be disqualified based on the following criteria:

1. If a player is not an MTN SIM subscriber.

2. If a player is not registered on the tournament page on www.engageplaywin.com

3. If a player is not a premium subscriber on www.engageplaywin.com

4. Any player found to have provided the room ID and password to a non-registered player will be automatically disqualified from earning their prize.

GENERAL RULES AND GUIDELINES & Reasons a player can be Banned:

  • Tournament players have to register on www.engageplaywin.com
  • All matches must be played as scheduled. Unless a delay in a match start is taken by the Tournament Admin, Players who are late for more than 5 minutes will be disqualified.  
  • Matches and score submissions will be done by the Chief Tournament Officer.
  • Ensure you input your current IN-GAME NAME (IGN) while registering for a tournament. A wrong IGN may lead to a loss of points on the match or winners’ list.
  • All rules are open to an administrator’s interpretation and will have the final say on any rulings. The administrators may change rules at any time.
  • If a winner of any prize does not receive their prize within 7 days after the match final is completed, they need to contact Engage support found at the bottom of the Engage page. Click on “Support” and fill in the query or email to support@engageplaywin.com
